I stayed with a French girl, Sonia, who is a type 1 diabetic, really into hula hoops and thinks the pacific northwest is paradise. She's trying to move to an island near Vancouver.
Sonia was also hosting a Mexican, Sebastian, who had been traveling for 6 months.
He referred to me as "pinche gringo"
We made a great trio.
I felt a really strong connection to both of them after my few days in Marseille.
We had a short hitchhiking trip where some middle-aged French people asked me about "Le Tea Party" and we talked about how much I hate Bush and they hate Sarkozy. Every French person I talked to hated Sarkozy.
This shit is incredible.
